Shishu Niketan High School is a non-proprietary, private educational institute run and managed by the Marwari community of Guwahati. It had been the outcome of deliberations at a conference of the community, which took place way back in 1963.Carrying this forward, on 1st August 1965 the school started with 48 students in a rented house as a Hindi medium school.
